Scirena BioVentures and Rubix Life Sciences Announce Strategic Alliance to Accelerate Biotech Development Across the U.S.-Mexico Corridor New York City / Mexico City — June 2026

Scirena BioVentures, the first structured two-way investment channel between the United States and Mexico, today announces its formal alliance with Rubix Life Sciences as its official U.S. clinical partner.

Rubix Life Sciences brings over a decade of leadership in clinical trial design, infrastructure, and partnership-driven development to the Scirena ecosystem. The alliance gives every founder and startup supported by Scirena—whether based in Mexico or the United States—direct access to the clinical execution infrastructure needed to advance from early-stage technology to IND-ready programs and through the FDA approval process.

Central to this partnership is a shared commitment to equity in science. Rubix Life Sciences has long prioritized expanding clinical trial access to underrepresented communities, a mission that aligns directly with Scirena's work to ensure that Mexico's scientific talent and innovation can compete on a global stage without barriers.

For Rubix LS, this strategic alliance represents a natural extension of its mission to bring rigorous, patient-centered clinical development to founders who are building transformative technologies. By partnering with Scirena, Rubix Life Sciences gains direct access to a pipeline of high-potential biotech and ecotechnology ventures emerging from Mexico's scientific community—while providing those founders with the operational infrastructure to move from proof-of-concept to regulatory approval.

"Rubix LS is not a referral partner. They are embedded in the Scirena ecosystem as a strategic ally," said Ashley Marín, Founding Partner of Scirena BioVentures. "For the founders we back, this alliance means they are not navigating the path to clinical development alone."

"What Scirena has built is exactly the kind of infrastructure the industry needs—capital connected to real operational support," said Reginald Swift, Founder & CEO of Rubix Life Sciences. "We're proud to serve as their U.S. clinical partner and to help ensure that breakthrough science, wherever it originates, has a clear path to patients."

Scirena operates between New York City and Mexico City, structuring investments on a deal-by-deal basis through a closed network of U.S. and Mexican family offices, industrial operators, and strategic investors across biotech, pharma, and ecotechnology.

About Scirena BioVentures

Scirena BioVentures is the first structured two-way investment channel between the United States and Mexico, connecting capital, scientists, and industrial operators on both sides of the border to private dealflow in pharma, biotech, and ecotechnology. Founded on the conviction that Mexico is a strategic partner—not a peripheral market—for technologies entering the United States, Scirena is building the ecosystem, partnerships, and cross-border pathways that allow founders and scientists to compete globally.
